Works by Ezra Pound, Wallace Stevens, John Ashbery, Robert Hass and Thomas Eliot, five of the most representative poets of the modern American literature, can now be found in one edition by “Aleph” Publishing House. The project was initially started by Gentian ȯ谬i and supported by the American Embassy in Tirana. For the poet and also publisher of “Aleph” this is a dream come true. He says that the abovementioned poets are the most representative writers of the best American poetry written during the twentieth century. They are all poets who lived through the horror of two world wars, whose emotions and feelings are poured in verse. But there is a reason that makes the publication so important; it comes as a supplement to the school texts of Albanian students and also for all those young poets, who want to learn more about the American poetry. The poems are translated by Gentian ȯ谬i, Parid Teferi詬 Rudi Erebara, Edion Petriti and Iris Klosi. (Tirana Times Staff)
