“Fix you” at Zeta gallery

TIRANA, April 10 – Painter Kosta Ko詬 who has opened several exhibitions in Albania and abroad since the early 1990s soon after the collapse of the country’s communist regime, will be displaying his latest series of paintings in an exhibition at the Zeta gallery.
His “Fix you” exhibition, which will be on display at the Zeta art gallery in Tirana from April 16 to may 3, brings a series of portraits which curators consider as direct depictions of Albanian life in a forbidden animation with the dichotomy of repression and expression concealed between the obvious and the standstill.
“Paintings are created within a historical context, but without the irony of the historical distance. In the changes of the palette of colours and the increased use of the impasto from Ko詧s earlier paintings to the last ones we find the reflection of the Albanian point of view on life, with a consistent and profound sense of humanity that is extended throughout his oeuvre.”
