TIRANA, Aug. 21 – Albanian Ministry of Education said that it had not licensed French institution IRERIE to offer bachelor, master or doctor degrees.
The French institution IRERIE was opened in Tirana in 2005 by some French citizens offering bachelor, master or doctor degree to some 100 students in Albania, other Balkan countries and Africa who had paid 1,400 euros each.
The ministry said they had investigated and found that the institution was neither accredited nor licensed to exercise its activity.
“As a result none of the diplomas issued are recognized in Albania and other countries in the world,” said a ministry statement.
The ministry appealed to citizens to check any institution before they start schooling and spend their money.
The IRERIE institution offered online master degrees after studying various courses for nine months.
