TIRANA, April 17 – French painter Anne de Colbert Christophorov has announced an exhibition in Tirana where she will display her latest “Colours of Life” works. All income from the exhibition scheduled from May 8 to 20 at the National Museum in Tirana will go to children with disabilities.
“I started painting relatively late, with a great passion to express myself in the colors. My subjects are drawn down from the dreams, my rich imagination helps me developed them. In my paintings there are no figures, but there is always a human presence, which infuses the atmosphere of the farms, the cities and the villages,” says Anne de Colbert Christophorov.
The French artist works in the area of paintings, drawings, illustrations and textiles. Born in Luke, Provence, Southern France, she lives and works in Paris. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world and is a winner of many international awards. She is also the author of several books of poetry and a member of the prestigious Parisian Society. Christophorov is a descendant of a famous French family – The Colbert, whose most famous representative is Jean-Baptiste Colbert, French politician and finance minister of Louis XIV from 1665 until his death in 1683. She married the Bulgarian professor Boyan Christophorov, a well known doctor in France.
