TIRANA, Oct 15 – Joerg Schoenbohn, interior minister of Brandenburg in Germany, visited Albania Wednesday to meet with all top local counterparts.
During the visit the German minister met with Vice Interior Minister Genti Strazimiri, Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha and other officials.
During the talks Schoenbohn talked on visa liberalization for Albanians. He was told that the Albanian authorities were completing the population register, produce next year identity cards and biometric passports and also have considerable success in securing the border.
