On Tuesday, well known Italian singer Albano Carrisi will be in Vlora on a two day visit. Carrisi is participated in a series of activities organized in his honour. Official sources of the city’s Town Hall say that during this visit the Mayor of Vlora will award him the “Gratitude of a City” title. At the “Petro Marku” theatre in Vlora there will be a series of activities focused on the life and career of the 65 year old singer. One of these activities will be the launch of the book entitled, “Albano and Albania,” which contains witness accounts and facts on the early links of this family from Puglia with Albania. There will be several other activities at the National Park of Llogora, where it is thought that a local venue will be named after the singer. (Tirana Times Staff)
