Jewelers of a Turkish diplomat robbed

TIRANA, Sept. 5 – Local newspapers reported that some unidentified persons had robbed the jewels of the 42-year old Turkish diplomat Ahmet Akyz resident in Selite not far from Tirana. The thieves had entered his house in the mourning and stole the jewels costing some $15,000. the Turk went immediately to police to report that.
But Korrieri newspaper reported the same day that the embassy of Turkey in Tirana denied that Akyz was a diplomat there. It was acknowledged, however that the house served as a shelter for an employee of the Turkish embassy.
