Karamanlis hails Berisha’s poll victory

TIRANA, July 12 – Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis called his Albanian counterpart Sali Berisha to congratulate him on the victory in the parliamentary election.
Karamanlis also assured Berisha he welcomed the continuation of the close cooperation between the two parties, two governments and two countries.
During the phone call, the Greek Premier stressed that this was a fully deserved victory, which has been welcomed and celebrated by all the friends of the Democratic Party.
Berisha expressed gratitude to Karamanlis for the support of his Democratic Party, the Albanian government and a neighboring country.
Berisha said his government would continue the close cooperation and the intensification of excellent relations between the two countries.
