TIRANA, Dec.13- “Lakuriqi i nat쳢 (The bat) with music by Johann Strauss and libretto of Carl Haffner and Richard Genne will be performed on the stage of the Opera and Ballet theater (TOB) under the direction of Paul Flieder and chorus master Dritan Lumshi, and choreographer Manjola Hasani. Well-known names of solo interpreters such as Vikena Kamenica, Marjana Leka, Etleva Golemi, Erlind Zeraliu, Dorina Selimaj, Lindita Kola, Luan Sula, Armando Likaj, Emiljana Palushaj will be engaged in the latest project which will be premiered on December 18. Differently from the big operas an operetta is closer to the reality while still being playful enough to afford some extravagance. The example of this operetta written by Haffner and Genee, adapting it form the Parisian version of Meilhac and Halevy, is an indicator of the way the operetta traveled from Paris to Vienna where it got new elements. Strauss employed joyful and cheerful rhythms without excess sentimental notes and finished the work in 42 days.
