“Made in Albania” on Fashion TV

Albanian fashion was introduced for the first time to Fashion TV on 2 December. Joni Pe詬 Albanian fashion designer, managed to present his new collection for 2007 on the prestigioius Fashion television channel with the logo, “Made in Albania,” and the JP signature. This presentation by Pe詠was realised only one month after the designer displayed his collection at the “1 Tetor” hall in Prishtina, Kosovo. On 24 November, the presentation on Fashion TV took place, and it will continue to be shown until 10 December.
Predominant in this presentation which the fashion designer realized in cooperation with “Kosovo Models” are traditional Albanian elements, combined with modern elements. In an effort to promote Albanian fashion designing, Peci’s fashion show opened with outfits bearing Albanian symbols. Apart from the models, Ledina ȥla, well known Albanian singer was also present. She was also present on the catwalk wearing one of the dresses from trhe “JP” collection. An extensive staff worked as a team to bring together this fashion parade, the first Albanian show to be on Fashion TV, sponsored by Birra Tirana.

His outfits are entirely Albanian, and it appears that this will also be the key to his success in the world of fashion. “Albanian element that lives on throughout the Centuries, which means we do have values, but also exert an impact, because this is a different style from what is promoted in the world today,” Peci said for a Kosovo weekly. “This fashion show and this collection in fact open the hisotry of Albanian fashion in the world, ” he added.
Peci presented about forty five outfits from his collection with 24 models, while other outfits have still to be presented. It took 6 months to complete the outfits that make up the 2007 JP Collection. Thjs collection will soon have its own set of photographs.
