Malaria case confirmed

TIRANA, May 18 – Health authorities have confirmed a case of malaria in the country.
A 17-year-old girl, who had returned from Greece three months ago, showed symptoms of malaria and was put under quarantine and her blood samples were sent for a test.
Another resident in the village of Zall Her was also disinfected.
Medical authorities are making tests and studies on whether the girl has been bitten by a mosquito in Greece or Albania.
They also assured that the case should not spread panic as it is unique, adding the teenager is in good health conditions.
