Meta attends U.S. conference

TIRANA, Oct. 24 – Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta visited the United States this week, where he took part at a security conference and met with members of the U.S. Congress.

Meta, who leads Albania’s governing Socialist Movement for Integration Party, took part at the Parliamentary Forum of Intelligence and Security held at the U.S. Congress with officials from European nations. It discussed issues relating to terrorism and non-conventional war.

He also met several members of the U.S. Congress, including outgoing House Speaker John Boehner.
