“Moulin Rouge” a success in Tirana

“Moulin Rouge” a musical identified with the Hollywood icon Nicole Kidman recently mounted the stage of the Albanian capital too. The musical, in Albanian, was presented on stage thanks to the interpretation of the well known Albanian singer Elsa Lila. At her side was another singer of the Tirana Ballet and Opera Theatre Erlind Zeraliu, who now has a wealth of successfully interpreted lead opera roles to his credit performed on this stage. The premiere was last Saturday evening, but together with the other follow-up performances of the show the attention of the Tirana public was intense. The music of “Moulin Rouge” was realized by the young composer Endri Sina and choreography by two of Albania’s lead ballet dancers, husband and wife team Enada and Gerd Vaso. Moulin Rouge” is defined as an “impetuous outburst of feeling.” (Tirana Times Staff)
