TIRANA, Jan.15- The annual ONUFRI competition has awarded prizes to its participants. First prize went to a video created by Fani Zguro called ‘Street by Street.’ This work examines the dynamics of urban life in the capital, pointing out with irony and despair the flaws of chaotic urban development. The second prize was given for the installation in video and painting of Driand Zeneli, while third prize went to the Italian artist Bruno Muzzolini for a video. The theme of this year’s competition was “Betrayal in Art”, and it featured a special pavilion called “In The Name Of The People” with selected art from the times of the dictatorship.
The jury included Maria Campitelli – an art expert form Italy, Albes Fusha, professor of photography at the Academy of Arts, Ormira Lulani from the Ministry of Culture, Christine Frisinghelli- head of the contemporary arts museum in Graz and Matteo Fochessati -an arts critic of Network Genova.
