TIRANA, July 27 – The opposition Socialist Party has increased the attacks on the governing lawmakers who the oppositions says have hidden their properties and not fully declared their income .
On Tuesday, again a Socialist lawmaker publicly asked Prime Minister Sali Berisha why he was not reacting to the accusation made on Economy Minister Dritan Prifti, a senior leader of the partner Socialist Movement for Integration.
Prifti is being accused from the Socialists on the way that he has earned 1.8 million euros immediately after he became a minister last year. Prifti has denied that saying he sold his shares in a company, though not proving how that is functioning.
At the same time they have also directed their accusation on Albana Vokshi, a lawmaker of the governing Democrats, and a former counselor to Berisha. She is also accused that she has not declared the property of some millions of euros owned by her husband. The first statement on Vokshi allegedly hiding her property was made from Shekulli daily newspaper.
Vokshi has declared that she is not married with the man but only lives together with him.
Adriatik Llalla, head of the High Inspectorate of Property Declaration and Control, said that he had immediately started the procedure on checking the declarations from Prifti and Vokshi.
