Pan-Albanian lyric voices competition starts

TIRANA, May 7 – The fourth edition of the Pannational
Lyrics Voices Jorgjie Truja edition was
launched last weekend at the Academy of Arts. The
activity was organized by the Culture Ministry, the
Academy of Arts and Jordan Misja Arts High School.
The activity in its 4th year in succession was to last
one week. Jorgji Truja is one of the best lyrics of the
Albanian opera scene. The festival brings out the best
young vocals with different performances from the
classic and folk music. There is an international jury
deciding on the winner of the competition. The activity
also included a master class or a workshop where
participants developed direct contacts, held professional
debates among local and international professionals.
The workshop titled “Contemporary problems
of the lyric art” was a main event attracting much attention
from the participants. New post-graduates artists
had the opportunity to get integrated into the country’s
art activities, including getting two scholarships
from the Italian embassy in Albania.
