Porto Romano now licensed as an international port

TIRANA, March 26ؔhe new port in Porto Romano, yesterday received an international port license with the capacity of harboring different size ships. However, the new port will be only used for petrol and gas transport and will be used by the respective import companies in Albania.
The construction of Porto Romano has been assigned as BOT concession by the government. The construction company will use the port until the end of the contract and then hand it over to the government. Porto Romano is situated 6 km northwest of Durres, in an area where 8 different import companies (petrol and gas) operating in Albania have built their own deposits.
