TIRANA, Feb. 5 – “Impact and Table” a contemporary ballet by Portuguese choreographer Daniel Cardoso is coming as a premiere at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana this weekend.

Cardoso who has been rehearsing with Albanian dancers for the past two months says the contemporary ballet is about the ever-changing communication which has turned the world into a global village.

The ‘Impact’ ballet is about human beings nowadays and the impact of technology. “It brings us closer and further at the same time. It is a very current issue which brings special emotions watching the movements of the ballet dancers in a simple stage which is transformed.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Table’ ballet is named after a very common object in people’s everyday lives, where they work, take decisions, are in good company or alone.

The ballet will stage on Feb. 6 and 7 at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

Meanwhile, “Suor Angelica” and “Gianni Schicchi,” two operas part of Puccini’s The Triptych will return to Albania internationally renowned Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho and baritone Gezim Myshketa on Feb. 14.
