After the resignation of Sandër Lleshaj from the position of Minister of Interior, the Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today that he will propose Bledi Çuçi, the actual Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, as the new Minister of Interior. The vacant place of Çuçi will be filled by Milva Ekonomi, former Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship. In his Twitter account, Rama said that he will send the two proposals to the President Meta today, adding that both Çuçi and Ekonomi have been throughout the years two dedicated collaborators. Lleshaj resigned after the killing of the 25-year-old Klodian Rasha by the police, an episode which was followed by violent protests.
