TIRANA, Sep. 15 – Five officials of the taxation department were arrested and accused of corruption and abuse of their posts. Police also arrested another person who worked as an economist at a private company.
An investigation had shown that the five tax officials had committed criminal acts against companies in Tirana by threatening to close them unless they paid “fines” to them.
