The “Father” of Italian Jazz in concert at the Tirana Ballet and

Giorgio Gaslini, pianist, composer, conductor, musician of international renown, recognized as the “father” of Italian jazz, is to appear for the first time in concert in Tirana, accompanies by two Italian soloists who are very well known on Italian stages, Roberto Dani (Drums) and Roberto Bonati (Double bass). The IIC in Tirana will organize a jazz concert with the “Giorgio Gaslini Chamber Trio”, in cooperation with the Ballet and Opera Theatre scheduled for Monday 21 April, 19:00 Hours. Pieces from Gershwin, Roland Kirk, Miles Davis, Sun Ra, Albert Ayler, Ornette Coleman, Gabriel Faure, Edvvard Elgar, and by Gaslini himself. (Tirana Times Staff)
