An unprecedented event occurred last week on the stage of the National Theatre in Tirana, a show was cancelled at the very last moment, minutes before curtain-rise. This was due to a dispute between the producer of the play and one of the actors in the cast. Minutes before the curtain was to go up on the play, “The weight of peace”, lead actor Alfred Trebicka went on stage and apologized to the audience informing them that the show would not go on because he felt he had been insulted. The argument has been over the pay of the cast, there was no preliminary contract signed between the cast and the producer.
