Jean-Pierre Dardenne and his younger brother Luc Dardenne, are a well known duo of film producers from Belgium. They write scripts, direct and produce films. The Dardenne Brothers have produced documents and feature films from the end of the seventies’, but they drew the attention of the international public in 1999, when their film, “Rosenta” won them the “Palme d’Or Award” at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2005 they won this award for the second time with the film, “L’Enfant”, the film that had been selected to represent Belgium at the Academy Awards, in Best Foreign Film Category, last year, but it was not even nominated in the category.
