TIRANA, Dec. 6 – Albanian President Bamir Topi on Thursday met with Pope Benedict XVI in a formal visit to the Vatican.
Topi discussed on excellent relations with Vatican and especialy on Mother Teresa’s humanity role highly evaluated all around the globe.
Topi also spoke with the Pope about the religious tolerance in the tiny Balkan country, where Catholics, considered the third big community, coexists with Muslims and Orthodox. Topi discussed with the Pope also on Kosova’s status saying its citizens deserved the independence that would finally bring peace and stablility in the former war-torn region.
