TIRANA, March 11- The National theater has played the Chekhov play of all times “Uncle Vanya” which deals with the lives of intellectual outcasts in the provinces dissecting their emotional troubles in human relationships. The new version of this tragic comedy is brought to Tirana by the director Slobodan Unkovski, as a collaboration project between theaters in Skopje, Prishtina and Tirana. The main role has been taken up by the Skopje native Bajrush Mjaku, while Mysherefe Llozana, from Skopje as well plays the lovely nanny. Tirana brings to the play the well-known Ndri読 Xhepa in the role of the doctor who in this case has to be a bit of a lyric singer as well. Eftiola La謡 is another Tirana actor with the role of Sonja. Prishtina is represented by Enver Petrovci, in the role of the pseudo-scientist and by Blerta Syla in the role of flirty Elena. The director has conceived this play as a narrative of values and not a simple translation of the script to stage. The gallery of actors with their complex characters has to adapt to a narrow stage designed by Macedonian Krste Xhidrov, marked by simplicity. However the stage does not diminish the play of the actors which displayed a lot of energy and passion.(Tirana Times Staff)
