TIRANA, May 15 – Artists and companies performing as part of the Unlimited in Albania programme have come with the first inclusive art festival that bring in stage the Graeae Theater Company with the “Iron Man’ Show, theatre directors, choreographs and dancers, musicians and excellent vocal performers.
The largest ever celebration and exploration of disability arts and a major element within the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, Unlimited was an initiative realised by London 2012, the UK Arts Councils and the British Council which aimed to commission a body of new high-quality and ambitious work by Deaf and disabled artists with the power to inspire and change perceptions of their practice.
The Unlimited Festival scheduled for May 12 to 17 will also offer a series of free workshops with participating artists. It is an opportunity for artists, theatre companies and dance organisations which are interested in learning about integrated work to hear from some of the best in dance, theatre, music and the visual arts, says the British Council in Albania.
