Winter concerts go on with performance dedicated to ȡmeria

TIRANA, Feb.20 – “Ancient ȡmeria” is the concert that continues the season of winter concerts on the stage of the Theater of Opera and Ballet. Artists from the Folklore Ensemble performed songs and dances from the ȡmeria region. The organizers said this concert was meant to promote the cultural values of Albanians outside official borders. The concert was begun with the famous song and dance, “Longing for ȡmeria” created by Rexhep ȥliku and followed with songs such as ‘ȥlo Mezani’, another hymn of cams. The evening featured special guest artists such as well-known actor Reshat Arbana, singers Mefarete Laze, Aleksander Gjoka, Rifat Sulejmani, Shaban Zeneli, and others. The artistic director of the show was Lejla Agolli, the choreographer was Rexhep ȥliku and director of the orchestra was Vladimir Hasimi.
