Work starts in Kukes-Morine road segments

KUKES, Aug. 28 – Companies that have won the tender to rehabilitate road segments in the Kukes-Morine part have already started work there. Albanian companies “Gjoka konstruksion”, “ANK”, “Viktoria invest”, “Kastrati – Arifaju”, “Geci” have already started to work in their segments while “Graniti” is in the last stage of preparation.Local residents have supported their work even by cutting their trees, plants or letting free the area which will be used by them, according to local authorities in the northeastern town of Kukes. “There is good understanding from most of the landowners where the road will pass,” said Feriz Ahmeti of the prefecture.
Morine-Kalimash road segments is 35.5 kilometers long and part of the Durre-Kukes-Morine segment which will link Albania with Kosova.
