SARANDA, Oct. 30 – The new Economic Faculty launched in southernmost town of Saranda welcomed this Monday 40 students. The faculty is a branch of the Tirana University. It had all the optimal infrastructure compared to private ones. The faculty was open and welcomed more students. The registered students had gone from Saranda and Delvina, but also from Lezha, Fieri, Ballsh and Shijak. Prime Minister Sali Berisha was also present at the first day of school saying that the government would increase salaries of teachers by 23 percent next year up to doubling them at the end of the four-year mandate.
