Moisiu to visit the States invited by former President Clinton

TIRANA, July 24 – Albanian President Alfred Moisiu will go to a visit in the United States in September to take part at the “Clinton Global Initiative,” the press office reported Monday. Moisiu was invited by former President Bill Clinton at the forum held Sept. 20-22 in New York. At the same time the Untied Nations hold the annual session of the General Assembly where Moisiu will take part and hold a speech. “President Moisiu responded to an invitation from President Clinton to be present at the forum which was held for the first time last year in New York,” according to a statement. The main theme of the forum would be the fight to reduce poverty, efforts to prevent climate change, improve of the governance and using religion as a tool of reconciliation.
Moisiu will be alongside Jordan Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, France President Jacque Schirak, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the U.S. First Lady Laura Bush and Hernando de Soto, Bill Geits, Lakshmi Mital, Rupert Murdoch and others.
