Drugs found, people arrested

TIRANA, Sept. 19 – Police said they had sequestered Tuesday 372 kilograms of cannabis sativa in the last 24 hours in Gjirokastra, Vlora and Fier. Police have also arrested four persons when they found the drugs into their cars. Albania is considered as a source and country of origin for the cannabis drug. Thousands of plants and tons of cannabis have been found and eliminated from police, who, however, often finds it difficult to arrest owners who plant it in no-man’s land.
In another operation police in capital Tirana arrested two persons _ Besmir Sadikllari and Saimri Gramozi _ for producing and distributing drugs.Surprisingly Sadikllari kept the drugs into the small busts of the late communist dictator Enver Hoxha he sold in the streets. Besides offering the busts he also asked different young clients if they would like to be served with drugs. He fell pray of the secret police.
