Environmentalist MP abandons party, joins Christian Democrats

TIRANA, Oct. 25 – Ymer Tola, a parliamentarian of the Agrarian and Environmentalist Party of Lufter Xhuveli abandoned the party in an alleged fight with the leader whose thinking he considered out-of-date.
Tola joined the Christian Democrats of Nard Ndokaj who now has reached the number of eight parliamentarians, turning into an important factor of the governing coalition. Ndokaj said, however, he did not intend to make a government reshuffle but reminded the ruling Democrats that they are an important factor. Ndokaj also reminded them that unilateral initiatives could fail, meaning that with eight parliamentarians he is a force to be taken into consideration.
Nikollaq Neranxi, also an Agrarian Party MP who has been in an open conflict with Xhuveli in the last months asking for his resignation from the political post while he keeps the post of the government minister of environment,. Said he would not abandon his party but repeated the request for Xhuveli, saying he was destroying the party.
