Gjirokastra stone streets get repaired

GJIROKASTRA, Oct. 2 – The townhall and the Packard foundation have funded with 1.5 million leks the rehabilitation of the stone streets in the southern town of Gjirokastra. Such streets suffer damages during the rainy periods and increasing traffic of vehicles. The project will build a protective wall and also rehabilitate parts of the street. Gjirokatra is a UNESCO-protected town. (Tirana Times Staff)
