TIRANA, Sept. 14 – The State High Control (SHC) announced Thursday the results of its research saying that much public money was abused by different officials around the country. The SHC said the Sukth town hall had abused some 3,7 million leks during 2004-2005, according to spokesman Edvin Morava. That was an abuse with the licenses to use areas for construction without proper documents.
Other abuse was found in Vlora at a total of 564 million leks, mainly not declaring income and nonpayment of social insurance.
The Ministry of Public Affairs had also abused some 123 million leks in 2004-2005 in the use of the public funding in direct procurement.
