TIRANA, Oct. 21 – The three Macedonians who were arrested by the Albanian police for heroin smuggling in early October said they did not work for the Red Cross, according to Macedonian news agency Makfax. The suspects explained they had changed the exterior of the car so that it would resemble a Red Cross vehicle. They told the Albanian authorities they had purchased the heroin in Skopje and had entered Albania through the Kjafasan border crossing.
