No illegal hunting in Dibra

DIBRA, Oct. 25 – Police and other authorities in the northeastern district of Dibra have managed to prevent illegal hunting in their area, according to the head of the forestry department, Hamdi Hoti. There are only sporadic cases of hunting, mainly from persons from other districts or foreigners. Illegal hunting had seriously threatened to extinguish many animals and the fauna as well. The Dibra district has some 1,400 legal hunting rifles owned by 130 persons who are members of the Hunters’ Association.
