VLORA, Nov. 14 – The Independence Museum in the southwestern port city of Vlora has original documents testifying the activity of Ismail Qemali, the Albanian who declared independence in Nov. 28, 1912. and led the first Albanian government after that. The documents covered the time when Qemali was an official of the Turkish Foreign Ministry before that moment. The document has been donated to the museum from Qemali’s family people and belongs to 1903. It is believed that the document was preserved from his nephew Aleksander Vlora, a professor at the University of Bari in Italy.
