Ten persons arrested for drug trafficking

TIRANA, Oct. 4 – Police reported Wednesday they had arrested ten persons in an operation nicknamed Karaburun 2006 and found 93 kilograms of marijuana. First police arrested Blerim Shehaj, 25, in Vranisht village in Vlora and then the other persons named as Edmond Beqiri, 30, and Kujtim Drazhi, 41, in Tirana, and Bernard Ali, 33, Frederik Ali, 45, Mustafa Zahaj, 44, Arben Maskaj, 35, Genci Arapi, 43, Spartak Myslimi, 24, and Admir Hoxha, 31, in Vlora. Police had been investigating for three months. In five other previous cases police had arrested other persons and blocked a considerable amount of marijuana.
