Verdi’s opera in Tirana

TIRANA, Nov. 12 – Un Ballo in Maschera of Giusseppe Verdi is being held at the Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana with producer Nikolin Gurakuqi. That is considered a very difficult opera and hard to be interpreted. It is the result of an international cooperation with the participation of some Italian, Romanian and also Albanian artists. The scene was created from Genc Shkodrani with motives from northern city of Shkodra. Singers will be names like Roberto de Biasio, Italy, Cristian Balasescu, Rumania, Piero Terranova, Italy, Dan Pataca, Rumania and Laura Brioli, Italy. The opera was first launched in Rome at the Apollo Theatre in Feb. 17, 1859.
