DURRES, Sept. 18 – A workshop with archaeological experts from Albania and Italy will be held for five days to evaluate the local amphitheater. Government authorities are trying to make this an international issue which would help to find its further excavation and also protection. Three expeditions have been organized in Durres since 2004 to better know the values of this ancient monument. They are part of the big project of creating the urban archeological park which includes work in a forum, archaeological museum and the ancient amphitheater.
