Police crack down on prostitution ring

TIRANA, April 25 – Police arrested five people and accused them of organizing prostitution ring.
Two Tirana residents in were accused of forcing women to prostitute. They had been sentenced before for the same charges. They had created a sophisticated network in which they recruited young women whose families were in economic difficulties and then exploited them as prostitutes in luxurious hotels.
Police also arrested three women 22-24 years old accused of prostitution. They were found prostituting at a luxurious hotel in the capital with different clients and asking for a 200-400 euro per each of them.
Following a four-month investigation police found out that the prostitution ring was organized in four motels in the area.
