TIRANA, July 29 – A day after the Socialist Party assembly discussing on the June 28 elections its leader Edi Rama came out to say that they were planning democratic protests.
The Socialists are planning to hold democratic protests continuously unless the right of holding early elections is exercised.
“The elections are unacceptable, because the outcome is a result of manipulations,” Rama said, adding that Socialists are demanding snap polls.
The party decided at the end of the assembly Tuesday that they will not recognize the new parliament and the government, because the elections “did not meet the necessary standards both in terms of the course of the electoral process itself, and the votes counting.”
“Our entrance in the parliament has the only goal of launching investigative parliamentary actions in order to establish the manipulations,” said Rama.
They had previous mentioned such decisions but still it is unclear what does this political decision mean practically.
What one understands is they are preparing demonstrations, protests as Rama said they would go all around the country to get the testimony of the vote deformation.
Then, protests?
