Albania enters IAEA board of governors

TIRANA, Sep. 17 – Albania became a new member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency for a two-year period beginning this September. This is the first time during its 50 years of IAEA membership that Albania has been included on the board, the Foreign Ministry said Monday.
Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha took part in the 51st session of the IAEA General Conference held in Vienna, Austria.
Basha took advantage of being at the meeting to ask for some assistance from the IAEA on fighting cancer in the country. Basha also met with IAEA’s head Mohamed ElBaradei
