Albania implements electronic tagging for prisoners on parole

TIRANA, Nov. 21 The country’s probation system reached another higher level this week נa very modern one.
Now Albania has an electronic monitoring operation room, an electronic tagging which will be used for many convicts who will now will not serve their term in prison but at their homes and within a certain area as defined by the court verdict. Such a thing is recognized in many European countries as an alternative solution to imprisonment, builds on a similar spirit.
Electronic monitoring is a modern concept and Albania is the first country in the region to adopt this system.
The digital equipment will be used in many persons sentenced from the courts.
