MORINI, Feb. 15 – In an operation dubbed Morina, the Albanian police foiled the contraband importation of 20,000 pairs of shoes worth half a million dollars that were allegedly coming from Bulgaria.
The contraband shoes were smuggled into Albania from Kosovo at the Morini border checkpoint loaded in two Mercedes trucks.
The police in Albania announced they would continue investigating the case.
