TIRANA, July 13 – The Portuguese parliament has ratified the Stabilization and Association Agreement Albania signed two years ago.
Lisbon, then, becomes the 22nd country, of the EU’s 27 countries, to ratify the agreement in the last two years.
The SAA is considered a first step towards EU membership, though there has been no date set when the tiny Balkan country may become a member. (Tirana Times Staff)
