TIRANA, Sep 29 – The parliament commission on the media has discussed a revision of the law on public and private radio and television.
The commission, chaired by the opposition, had to revise the broadcasting law according to an action plan agreed upon with the European Union and the Council of Europe.
But the commission’s chairwoman of the opposition Socialist Party said they were told on that parallel draft by a letter of the EU Delegation in Tirana, and not by the Speaker of the Parliament, who had supported this parallel effort.
The opposition said the members of the Commission were not familiar with the new draft.
