Crisis in Greece brings Albanians back home

TIRANA, June 8 – The effects of the crisis in neighboring Greece are becoming visible in Albania too, due to the roughly one million Albanians working or living in Greece. Many of them have decided to come back to their homeland. Though there is no official figure on such claims, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Gjirokastra stated that 40 new small businesses have been opened in the city, allegedly by former Albanian immigrants in Greece.
