TIRANA, July 7 – Police arrested Prof. Doctor Kastriot Dautaj, 66, a surgeon at a Tirana hospital, while he was taking a 50,000 lek bribe for an operation he had performed. Police said they had begun an investigation some months ago, confirming he had received money from every patient he treated. Police said his bank account had $420,000 in it, and has since been confiscated. (Tirana Times Staff)
