Efforts by Albanian political parties to lobby in the United States and elsewhere in the world have again made international and local headlines this week — for all the wrong reasons. Funds used by Albania’s Democratic Party to lobby for support in the United States ahead of the general elections in Albania last year have become a source of debate after an American magazine’s investigative article noted that it appears there are links to Russia.
